The source desk
Not every source does the same job. The official record establishes what happened. Reporting supplies context. Archives preserve the history. We keep those lanes clear.
Dates, opponents, venues, decisions, scores, box scores, standings and official recaps begin with the organizations that staged or governed the event. When records conflict, the most direct official record takes priority.
The athlete directory is a dated editorial snapshot of publicly posted team rosters. Profiles are rewritten for StarkVegas Report from verified biographical and statistical facts, while names, positions, classes and hometowns are checked against the official team record.
Team production, individual leaders, conference rank and national rank are refreshed from current-season records. A number without a defensible season, team and source context does not belong in a matchup comparison.
Published reporting supplies attributed quotes, confirmed context and story discovery. StarkVegas Report writes its own headlines and summaries and identifies the underlying publication when its reporting is presented here.
Historical pages draw from university, municipal and state records as well as official program archives. Those records establish the dates; the story is organized and written for the people reading it today.
Institutional names and marks are used editorially to identify teams in schedules, results and matchups. Their appearance does not represent sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement.
Our working method
The site is built one record at a time. This is the practical standard behind schedules, athlete pages, the Vault and matchup coverage.
Start with the school, conference, NCAA, opponent or event organizer instead of a repost or search snippet.
Confirm the season, sport, opponent and date before a fact moves into a schedule, profile or game center.
Store a source label, canonical link and verification time with records that drive the site.
Turn the record into original, readable copy without lifting a publisher biography, recap or article.
Update a page when a final, corrected statistic, better image credit or more authoritative source becomes available.
Working directory
These links are the recurring desks and archives behind the site. Individual stories, games and historical exhibits may carry more specific citations in their own pages.

Photography register
Venue photographs retain the creator and license attached to the original file. Athlete portraits and game images retain the credit supplied by the photographer, team or originating publisher.

This list reflects credit information held with the current athlete, game and editorial image library.
A credit identifies the creator or supplying organization; it does not imply that the image is owned by StarkVegas Report. Images may be cropped, resized or darkened to fit responsive editorial layouts. Credible credit, correction and removal requests are reviewed promptly.
Film, audio and archive
Whenever possible, audio and video remain in publisher-controlled players. The Vault adds editorial organization and context; it does not take ownership of the underlying recording.
